Cast Details
Casting of the film has got to be one of the most interesting aspects. The Indian film star Sunny Leone, known for her many attributes and talent in many other films, plays the central character.
With Mandira as the title, leone has been versatile throughout her career and is likely to continue that trend with this character. With wits, courage and vulnerabilities, leone surely would suit the role according to her strength and talents.
Yogi Babu’s character stylization has rather been embellished by a few humorous and eccentric traits to balance out some of the creepy elements of the plot.
Muthukrishnan Sathish and Ramesh Thilak are expected to throw in their seasoned performances as well, so there will be drama, there will be warmth, and there will be quite a lot of mystery as well.
And then, there is Mottai Rajendran, for his eccentricity and impactful characters are not easily forgotten. All in all, the combined ensemble will make sure that ‘Mandira’ is not going to be the sleep inducing film that many have come to expect, but rather, a heart pumping roller coaster ride.
Plot
The plot revolves around a woman named Mandira who, along with her Boyfriend, sets off to a small town that is considered to be quiet and plain. But this plot changes, rather dramatically, when Mandira starts witnessing some very disturbing truths that surround the history of her family.
Things take a more intriguing turn when she begins to sense that she is not the only one around. Genuinely strange events, frightening visions and unnerving feelings of a ghost’s company sets up a premise that is equally creepy and emotional at the same time.
But here’s the catch—the ghost is no ordinary phenomenon. For Mandira, it is more than just a figure of fright as she uncovers that it is rather a strong connection. What, then, is a ghost? An enemy? A savior? The film toys with these concepts while making sure the audiences remain thrilled throughout the duration.
