Story

Pottel tells the story of a husband and father who struggles to keep his family together, or Gangadhar played by Yuva Chandra Krishna to be precise. An ordinary dad who works a mediocre profession but is somewhat an A-list superhero in his daughter’s eyes.

Gangadhar tends to be a sacred sheep in his village, a symbol of custom and duty. And yet, he wishes only one thing, that his child be educated. In modern times, education has become somewhat rare and can only be afforded by and is kept for the elites.

At first, the ambition of Gangadhar could appear to be simplistic. Gangadhar’s conflict does not only limit to her striving for her daughter’s education but progressively broadens to encompass the struggle for equity justice and the dismantling of hierarchical frameworks that have in history enslaved the underprivileged.

Cast

Yuva Chandra Krishna represents the character of Gangadhar on screen well as there is a quiet intensity about the person. Ajay’s role is multifaceted because Patel is not just an adversary, he is part of the society where the dominance has been instilled in him to the point of an obsession.

Ananya Nagalla’s character has a lot of weight in terms of emotional content in the movie. The supporting cast also featured Noel, Priyanka Sharma, Srikanth Iyengar and Chatrapati Sekhar, who also add considerable value to the story of the film. They all played the role of people in the village.
